Recently, Pastor Kazuhiro and his wife, Asami, presided over our Interfaith Service at The Glenn Hopkins. They gifted us a Japanese style chair as part of their "100 Chairs Outreach" program from the Japan Fellowship Church. Pastor Kazuhiro shared his journey to the U.S. from Japan to serve as a chaplain at Abbott Northwestern Hospital during the height of the COVID pandemic. The residents enjoyed hearing Pastor Kazuhiro's story and appreciated his ministering during our Interfaith celebration.

Recognizing the 130th anniversary of the Labor Day Holiday that President Grover Cleveland made an official federal holiday in 1894. The Glenn Hopkins Employee Appreciation Committee hosted an employee picnic lunch to celebrate recently.

Towers went back to the 50's with a sock hop and a vintage car show with the Southern Cruzers. We danced the afternoon away with the Resistors Duo and sipped on milkshakes for a cool down. So much fun!

It was a busy week at The Glenn Hopkins. It culminated with the summer Wine & Dine with a "Surf-n-Turf" menu and lots of happy faces and appetites that were satiated. 😀

The Glenn Hopkins Community has raised almost a $1,000.00 so far this summer that will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in the ongoing fight to end Alzheimer's. The Annual Walk is Saturday, September 21st. You are welcome to stop by this Wednesday for an Ice Cream treat and make your best donation!

The city of Hopkins celebrated Raspberry Festival Days last week. In honor of the city event residents baked a raspberry pie and then enjoyed a slice over coffee later in the afternoon.

It's been a busy summer. The residents of the Terraces recently enjoyed an outing to Lake Harriet and a Trolley ride followed by an outdoor picnic by the lake. It was a beautiful day! Thanks to our conductors for the ride and history of the Minneapolis Trolley system!
