The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building and grounds are beautifully maintained, but most importantly the residents get kind and thoughtful care.

Great Christian-based senior living facility with great outdoor trails, good food options, movie theatre room, beauty salon, and plenty of space to move around. A little dated in decor, but helpful staff.

My wife and I moved to The Glenn Hopkins about two months ago and we are extremely happy with our decision and glad to have gotten the type of apartment we had wanted from the first time we toured the facility some months ago. It is roomy, well appointed, and has a magnificent view. But this is not the only reason we are so pleased with our move. To start with, the administrative personnel and the maintenance staff are superb; they are pleasant and helpful, with a positive can-do attitude that has made our adjustment to a new environment very easy. The residents are friendly and welcoming, and in the relatively short time we have been here we have enjoyed meeting many interesting people and forged new friendships.
The location of The Glenn couldn’t be better. It is in an urban area, close to downtown Hopkins and minutes away from Edina and Eden Prairie, which puts it near excellent shopping venues, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. However, it is set in an open nature area with beautiful grounds, a nice pond, walking trails, and a stunning view of the surroundings.
Even though we like cooking, we have occasionally eaten in the full-service dining room and appreciated the excellent menus it offers at a very reasonable price.
We have also enjoyed participating in many of the multiple daily activities that cover a wide range of interests, as well as attending religious services and activities offered by The Glenn’s full-time pastoral care team. These include a daily Mass in the chapel, which is open 24 hours a day, and other religious activities geared not only to Roman Catholic residents, but also to people of other faiths.
In summary, we are extremely happy to have made The Glenn our new home and it helps us look to the future with confidence and peace of mind.

I chose The Glenn Hopkins for its location with ponds, walking trails and easy access to shopping and event venues. The staff is fantastic - always responsive and caring. The Dining/Kitchen staff has changed in the past year and the food is very good (soup is highly recommended). The best part of living here is the friendly residents - numerous and varied activities, the Coffee Nook and Lobby are great conversation areas.

My parents moved into the Senior Living Towers at The Glenn nine years ago. Dad went into Memory Care five years ago and has since died. Two months ago, Mom had to move to an assisted living facility due to medical conditions and exhausted financial resources.

Without hesitation, my four brothers and I endorse my parents decision to become long term residents at The Glenn. The clearly faith-based staff and atmosphere at The Glenn that Mom, Dad and we continuously experienced, is an outstanding example of Christianity in action.

Based upon my interactions with EVERY staff member and from what I observed in their assisting other residents during all of those years, I can’t stress enough how every person there is treated as a Child of God and with love and compassion.

We love our apartment, which is not only spacious, but also bright and comfortable, and also the location of The Glenn Hopkins, which easy access to shopping places and amenities in Hopkins, Eden Prairie, and Edina. The residents are friendly, and the staff, welcoming and very helpful. WE are just beginning to learn about the many activities offered and to enjoy the availability of daily religious services.

I found The Glenn last year when I moved my very ill sister-in-law here from Chicago. She loved it while she was there and the staff was excellent as she became more ill and ended up dying in a hospice home. In January I needed to find temporary housing for my good friend and The Glenn had a furnished apartment that she could ret short term. It was a gift to find at that time.

She moved in January and fell in love with the place and decided to stay permanently. I have always found the people living at the Glenn are happy and welcoming and the staff is great. They have more than enough activities offered. This is definitely my first choice for housing for friends and family.

We looked at ten senior housing complexes and this one stood out the best. So, we moved in and have been here for six months and have found the staff and people to be phenomenal. I would highly recommend. Dick

Many thanks to both of you – Jen & Lisa Mom and I both noted how diligent you were in keeping your residents safe – and also recognizing the need to update them (and their families) on what was going on and connect with them – during a time when everything was changing and unknown. I am very grateful!

My father-in-law, Lloyd lived at the Glenn for almost 5 years. He first moved into Assisted Living due to an injury, He received excellent care from the nursing staff as well as support staff. After 4 months, he was able to transition to the Towers, independent care area. He enjoyed using the library, the meals, the beautiful view from his room, and always loved talking with staff. When he needed any help, the nursing staff was quick to respond. He also received good service from the in-house Physical Therapist. We, as a family, felt that he was very safe and respected. The staff was also very responsive to us. I would highly recommend The Glenn for anyone needing this type of care.

My father, Harold Schwind, lived at the Glenn for five years (2015-2020). I just wanted to share that he was very happy at The Glenn. The accommodations were very pleasant and dad quickly made many friends there (both residents and staff). The staff always treated dad with high respect and loving care. The Glenn is a true community, with many activities planned every month for both the residents and their families. There are also many volunteer opportunities to help other residents at the Glenn, which dad pursued to a high degree. Dad had many other living options, but my sisters and I were very pleased he chose the Glenn. He had a very fulfilling time there and was very happy. Always, Tom Schwind

My dad lived at The Glenn Hopkins for over 3 years. He initially moved into an Assisted Living apartment and during his last six months of life transitioned to a Memory Care apartment. He was fortunate to have his spouse live near in a Towers Independent Living apartment so they enjoyed many social outings and daily interactions together. Although they were in separate apartments, the level of care each needed was available at The Glenn Hopkins. The Glen staff and Gentle Touch nursing staff are my heroes and angels!! My dad received excellent care and loved the personal relationships he formed with staff and fellow residents.

The Glenn Hopkins is a wonderful facility with terrific employees! We felt so welcome when we called to book a tour. Lisa Whitgrove, Sales and Marketing Advisor, was so friendly and positive. When we took our tour we KNEW this was home. The staff knew residents by name! Other places we toured were not able to do that. My mother was blind, she couldn’t see where she was, but she could feel the comfort that The Glenn offered. My mother was also diabetic so she needed assistance with her insulin and used the Gentle Touch Health services that were offered. Julie Nichols, the Director of Homecare, told me that they were there to help care for my mom so I could be just a daughter again. It was comforting to know that my mom was in good hands. Even during these Covid times I knew she was safe and well cared for. I appreciate that The Glenn took immediate action as to what needed to be done to keep all residents safe. It was truly comforting for us to know that mom was in the loving care of people that knew her as an individual not just one more resident in the building. Thank you, Glenn Hopkins!

My mother has lived at The Glenn Hopkins for the past 8 years. Just last week, she moved to Wisconsin to an assisted living facility so she could be closer to family. It was difficult for her to leave The Glenn. She had many happy times there and always felt so much support from the very caring staff. As the years went on, additional services were needed. I cannot say thank you enough to Scott, Tammie, Patti, Stephanie, Paula and Gloria for the additional support you gave my mother. God bless all of you! You will be missed.

Our tour was very thorough and informative. We felt they were very transparent with pricing and amenities. We were impressed with the beautiful grounds and marsh views. They have done good job with common spaces and the outdoor areas look inviting (and we toured in the winter). There is scheduled transportation to almost anywhere you need to go. [Name removed] spent over 2 hours with us going over every question my parents had. I appreciated her patience and kindness.

How kind to remember my first anniversary of living at The Glenn Hopkins. The many personal touches and outreach events by The Glenn staff are appreciated and very commendable. The friendliness to and concern for each resident and the community as a whole creates an environment conducive to pleasant living. Thank you one and all for the happiness you afford and your tireless efforts in doing so.

The Glenn Hopkins was a wonderful place for our Mom. She was treated with dignity and love. The staff is exceptional and would meet my Mom where she was, every step of the way; kindness, patience, perception and professionalism define the many who worked to make my Mom’s last years a time of great light, grace and peace.

I cannot believe all the ways you have introduced to make all of use safe from the virus. You all have gone way beyond your job description to keep us sane and happy. We must be the safest citizens in the USA. I feel so blessed to be here and to be watched over so dutifully. Thank you a million times for all the extras too numerous to mention. All the ideas you have come up with, you are so creative! God was good to me to send me to The Glenn Hopkins. I pray for all of you, your health and families. Extreme gratitude.

I am so grateful for the hard and successful work of you and the entire staff at the Glenn Hopkins Independent Living. My mother loved the recent addition of the bus ride out to the Arboretum and the addition of Communion on Tuesdays. The communications through the Chapel Circuit TV of Mass, 3:00 updates and exercise classes are vital to her health. The pandemic started at the same time she lost her husband and she had to grieve alone and isolated from her larger family. The Glenn is now her family in a way we never anticipated. Thanks again. I hope you are hearing from all the grateful families of your residents.

Dear Staff of the The Glenn – I just want to tell you how appreciative my family is for all you are doing to keep my parents and others safe. You have taken all the precautions you can take and gone above to try to make them happy and comfortable. I know you are all working extra and I thank you for all the extras! My parents tell me about the treats, surprises they get on their door, the delivery of groceries, wine and dinners. I miss seeing them and want you to know that all you do really means so much in keeping their spirits up and mine, knowing my family is so blessed to have my parents cared for by you. Special thanks to the person who helped my parents Facetime with the grandchildren on my mom’s birthday! God Bless all of you and may you and your families stay safe.

Mom has been at The Glenn for more than three years and has transitioned through three different levels of care. I always felt mom was safe and the staff attentive to her needs. Not lip service attentive, but genuine care and understanding for my mom’s well being. Lily, Al, Amanda, Jennifer and Julie – these are people that made sure I was informed and took care of her daily needs, as her capacity to do it on her own, diminished. I would trust them again to any other of my family members in need. A sincere Thank You to The Glenn.

My parents have lived in the Towers for 5 years. During this time, every member of The Glenn Hopkins Staff, as well as the Staffs of DayBridge and Gentle Touch have been unfailingly respectful and compassionate in their interactions with them as well as with our large, extended family. Without exception, they have gone out of their way to meet the needs and requests of my Parents. From our first inquiry about their moving here, The Glenn Hopkins has been a welcoming and celebratory environment. Last year we organized a large gathering to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary and the Staff cheerfully accommodated our plans for that very special day. Most important of all, The Glenn Hopkins is a spirit-filled, peaceful place. In my experience, the spirituality and peacefulness go even beyond the many opportunities to participate in the Mass and sacraments. Christian love is actively at work for and among the residents of The Glenn Hopkins.
