MEET OUR TEAM

Although our campus is made from bricks and mortar like all other buildings, it is the employees who work with your loved ones that make all the difference. Please let us introduce you to some of the key staff of our campus who can help you with your comments, questions and concerns regarding senior housing and care needs.

Laura Gerken, Director of Sales
lgerken@greatlakesmc.com

Laura Gerken brings a genuine passion for people and relationship-building to her role as Director of Sales. She grew up in Zumbrota, Minnesota, on a small family farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for community from an early age. Laura’s journey into senior living began in high school while working at Zumbrota Care Center, where she discovered how much she valued connecting with and supporting older adults. After spending a few years in Florida, she returned to Minnesota and built a successful career in automotive sales, further strengthening her ability to guide individuals through important decisions and build lasting relationships. Her passion for helping others ultimately led her back to senior living, where she finds great fulfillment in assisting seniors and their families as they navigate meaningful life transitions and find a place to truly call home. Outside of work, Laura enjoys making the most of Minnesota summers boating, paddleboarding, and spending time on the water. She also values time with her boyfriend, family, and friends. At home, her senior cat proudly runs the household. Laura is excited to connect with residents, families, and team members and to be part of a vibrant and welcoming community.
