Amenities & Activities
The Glenn Buffalo Assisted Living community provides a wide variety of life-enrichment components including outings to Buffalo Lake, Music in The Park, luncheons, community events, and shopping – in addition to a wide range of activities and social events hosted onsite.
The Glenn Buffalo Memory Care community provides resident-specific life-enrichment activities, as well as group activities, designed to promote familiarity and recognition of surroundings.
A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR SOCIAL LIFE!
Today The Glenn Assisted Living was absolutely honored to have Buffalo High Schools National Honor Society students come and decorate our facility for Christmas! We had 15 girls arrive at 10:00 and by 12:00 seven trees were up and completely decorated! They were amazing! I cannot thank you girls enough! What an incredible blessing! 🎄🎄🎄

We were treated to beautiful music by the Division Stree duo. This was followed by our monthly birthday celebration. Happy birthday to all the November babies.

Sweet Water, the band, performed excellent music. Our lunch gathering at Rancho Grande also offered top-notch service and food.

I had to share. The Glenn AL has been doing a Christmas card exchange with mostly people who have hardships of some sort. So today a child was showing her wall of Christmas cards and there is our card and photo!! All the ladies were so excited to see their picture on this little girls wall!! Made us feel good!

Today's agenda? Sugar, sugar, and more sugar! We made Muddy buddy snacks, or Puppy Chow, for a snack-tacular time. Then we had a Cozy Hot cocoa bar that was basically a chocolate-lover's dream come true. On a gloomy, grey day, it was the perfect antidote.

Alongside bingo, balloon volleyball is one of our favorite pastimes. Craig also joined us and played some lively tunes for our enjoyment today.

We participated in a horse racing event accompanied by beautiful music from Gabe and enjoyed mock wine and a charcuterie snack.

The Glenn hosted a crafting day, featuring Artist Suzy Volden, who guided our ladies in creating a stunning winter scene. Later we made Thanksgiving bouquets to hang on their doors.

Yesterday we had a day of music at our Assisted Living! The very talented Gabe came and sang for us. He’s just a joy to have here. Then in the afternoon we had a visit by Dans Band! A steel guitar, snare drum and a singer made and amazing trio!

Bella, our young friend, decided to spend her birthday with her friends at the Memory Care. Joined by her mom and sister, she brought cupcakes to share with the residents, making her birthday even more special today! Also, celebrating all the November birthdays as well

It's finally Fri-yay!! At our Assisted Living we're all about letting loose and having fun! After dinner it was karaoke bar time! We had an awesome turn out and just about everyone sang at least one song! Lots of laughs and lots of great music! We even had one of our married couples sing a duet! Cutest thing ever!!

Such a busy day at Assisted Living! We started with our Christmas card campaign sending out cards to shut-ins and people with no family. Then we had our “How Sweet It Is” program and learned about cinnamon. We tasted cinnamon rolls, cinnamon candy, and cinnamon chocolates. Great time!

Today is Monopoly Day. We organized a life-size Monopoly game today! The competition resulted in two winners.

First, we participated in a Nerf war, then initiated our 12th mat for the homeless. The staff and families collect bags for us, which we fold and cut. Amber, the Activity Director, takes them home to crochet and then we distribute them. Buffalo Free Church receives and disburses them to the homeless. This is a great way to give back to the community.
